The Kia Stinger GT is the car we know better than any other — and a Stinger tune is the single biggest upgrade you can make to it. Real ECU and TCU tunes for the 3.3T Lambda twin-turbo V6 — Backend Flash from $189, Custom Tune from $595, TCU Tune $395 — flashed remotely with an EK1 or in person in the DFW/Houston area. 1000+ cars tuned.
Stinger tuning
Two ECU tunes and a TCU tune — pick by whether you run a piggyback and how far you want to go. Boost is either handled by your JB4/ProTuner (Backend Flash) or directly inside the ECU (Custom Tune).
Power expectations (estimates)
Power scales with your fuel. These are typical wheel-horsepower estimates on the 3.3T — for the Backend Flash, a JB4 or ProTuner piggyback is what unlocks the peak numbers. Your exact figures depend on mods, fuel quality, and conditions.
Delivery
EK1 Remote Flash
FreeThe EK1 plugs into your OBD2 port and lets us flash your ECU remotely from anywhere — no shipping, no appointment. See how remote tuning works or the EK1 Tool Guide.
The EK1 device is required and sold separately. SleepyTuned does not sell or provide the EK1 — the tune does not include one.In-Person Flashing
+$150Visit one of our locations (DFW or Houston area) and we'll flash your ECU while you wait. Typical appointment is 60–90 minutes.
Transmission
An ECU tune wakes up the engine; a TCU tune sharpens how the 8-speed puts that power down. Faster shifts, crisper engagement, and shift points dialed in over years of real-world testing — many Stinger owners run both.
With optional Track Mode and True Manual Mode. Learn what it changes in TCU Tuning Explained.

FAQ
Which tune should I pick for my Stinger 3.3T?
Running a JB4 or ProTuner? The Backend Flash (from $189) pairs with it — the piggyback handles boost while the flash optimizes fueling, ignition timing, and torque limits. Want boost handled inside the ECU with no piggyback at all? The Custom Tune (from $595) does everything, built around your mods and goals.
How much horsepower does a tune add to a Kia Stinger?
A tune is the biggest single power gain on the 3.3T. From a stock ~365 crank hp, a tuned Stinger typically makes around 420 WHP on pump 91, 440 WHP on pump 93, 460–480 WHP on an E30 blend, and up to about 540 WHP on E85 or meth/CPI — with hybrid turbos supporting up to about 680 WHP. Those are wheel-horsepower estimates and depend on mods, fuel, and conditions. No bolt-on comes close to what the tune does. See our Kia Stinger Mods Guide for the full build order.
How much horsepower can a tuned Stinger 3.3T make?
On stock turbos, figures are roughly 420 WHP on pump 91, 440 WHP on pump 93, 460–480 WHP on an E30 blend, and up to about 540 WHP on E85 or meth/CPI. Hybrid turbo setups support up to about 680 WHP. These are estimates — your exact numbers depend on mods, fuel quality, and conditions. Above 480 WHP we recommend upgraded head studs.
What is the EK1, and is it included?
The EK1 is a remote flashing device that plugs into your OBD2 port so we can flash your ECU from anywhere. It is not included and is sold separately — SleepyTuned does not sell or provide the EK1. If you do not have one, choose in-person flashing (+$150, DFW or Houston area).
Is there a transmission tune for the Stinger?
Yes — the Kia/Genesis 3.3T TCU Tune ($395) covers the Stinger’s 8-speed. Faster shifts, crisper engagement, and shift points dialed in over years of testing, with optional Track Mode and True Manual Mode. It pairs with any of the ECU tunes.
Is the tune daily-driver safe?
Yes. Every tune is built with reliability in mind — power that lasts, not a number for a dyno sheet. We’ve tuned 1000+ cars on this platform and support you through dial-in via our dashboard ticket system.
Do you tune the Genesis G70 and G80 3.3T too?
Yes — the G70 3.3T and G80 3.3T run the same Lambda 3.3L twin-turbo V6 as the Stinger GT, so the same proven tunes apply. See our Genesis G70 3.3T and Genesis G80 3.3T pages for platform-specific details.
