Real ECU tuning for the Theta-II 2.0T — not a plug-in gimmick. We calibrate your factory ECU around your mods and fuel, flashed remotely from your driveway with an EK1 or in person in the DFW/Houston area. Backend Flash $189, Custom Tune $595.
The Theta-II 2.0T
The G70's 2.0T is a turbocharged, direct-injected engine running a deliberately conservative factory calibration. A tune replaces that calibration with one built for your car: fueling and ignition timing dialed in for your fuel, torque limits raised to match, and — with the Custom Tune — boost targets set directly inside the ECU. The result is an engine that responds the way a sport sedan should, without piggyback spoofing tricks unless you want them.
Tune options
Two ways to tune the G70 2.0T. Already running a JB4 or ProTuner piggyback? The Backend Flash pairs with it. Want everything handled inside the ECU with no piggyback at all? That's the Custom Tune.
An ECU flash that pairs with your JB4 or ProTuner — the piggyback controls boost while the flash handles fueling, ignition timing, and torque limits inside the ECU.
A JB4 or ProTuner is required — the flash doesn't control boost on its own.
A fully customized tune built around your mods, goals, and driving style — boost, fueling, and timing all handled inside the factory ECU, no extra hardware.
One clean system — the ECU knows exactly what the engine is doing.
Delivery
No dyno visit, no shipping your ECU. Order the tune, tell us about your car, and flash from your driveway with the EK1 — a handheld flashing tool that plugs into your OBD2 port.
EK1 Remote Flash
FreeOrder your tune, and we'll reach out for your mod list and fueling info. Your tune file is flashed through the EK1 from your OBD2 port — then we support you through dial-in via our dashboard ticket system.
The EK1 device is required and sold separately. SleepyTuned does not sell or provide the EK1 — the tune does not include one.In-Person Flashing
+$150Visit one of our locations (DFW or Houston area) and we'll flash your ECU while you wait. Typical appointment is 60–90 minutes.

FAQ
What does a tune actually change on the G70 2.0T?
Both tunes are real ECU calibrations flashed to your factory computer. The Backend Flash dials in fueling, ignition timing, and torque limits while a JB4 or ProTuner piggyback controls boost. The Custom Tune handles everything — including boost control — inside the factory ECU, built around your mods, goals, and driving style.
Do I need a JB4 or ProTuner?
Only for the Backend Flash — it is designed to work alongside a piggyback, which handles boost. If you do not want a piggyback at all, choose the Custom Tune: it controls boost directly inside the ECU with no extra hardware.
What is the EK1, and is it included?
The EK1 is a remote flashing device that plugs into your OBD2 port so we can flash your ECU from anywhere. It is not included and is sold separately — SleepyTuned does not sell or provide the EK1. If you do not have one, choose in-person flashing instead.
How is the tune delivered?
Two ways: EK1 remote flash (free — device sold separately) or in-person flashing (+$150) in the DFW or Houston area, typically 60–90 minutes.
What happens after I order?
We reach out for your mod list and fueling details, build your calibration, and flash it via your EK1. You get dedicated support through our dashboard ticket system while we dial it in.
Is there a TCU tune for the 2.0T?
Our TCU (transmission) tune currently covers the Kia/Genesis 3.3T platform only. For the G70 2.0T we offer ECU tuning.
