Terms of Service
These terms cover buying from sleepytuned.com. Placing an order means you accept them. They include some realities specific to engine tuning, please read the tuning section before you order a tune.

Orders and acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we take payment and confirm the order by email. If we can't fulfil something (it's out of stock, it doesn't fit your vehicle, or a price or description was wrong), we may cancel the order and refund you in full. We may also decline orders we don't believe we can deliver safely.
Prices and errors
Prices are in US dollars and can change at any time. Obvious pricing or description mistakes don't bind us: if one affects your order we'll contact you and either honour the corrected price with your agreement or refund you. Adding an item to your cart doesn't reserve stock, items are only held once paid for.
Payment and discount codes
Payments are processed by Stripe, and submitting checkout authorises the charge shown to you. Discount codes may be limited by date, usage or product, and can be withdrawn or corrected if they were used outside their terms.
Shipping, tunes and install work
- Physical parts ship free to addresses in the United States and Canada, to the address you enter at checkout. We don't promise delivery dates beyond what's stated on the product page.
- ECU tunes are digital. You receive an EKR tune file to flash with your own EK1 device, nothing is shipped. SleepyTuned BEF+ and full ECU tunes are sold for USA vehicles only.
- Build packages, installs and transport are scheduled directly with you, using the options shown on the product page (installation, transporting your car to Texas, or SleepyTuned travelling to you where offered).
See Shipping for details.
Returns and refunds
Return terms differ per product, and many parts and build packages are custom-built or made to order and therefore non-refundable once placed. Defect claims need clear photo or video evidence. Every product’s own policy is listed on Returns & Refunds, please read the one that applies before ordering.
Tuning: what you're responsible for
Engine and transmission tuning changes how your vehicle operates. By ordering a tune you accept the following:
- You give us the correct vehicle details. We build your file from the ECU Calibration ID, EK1 serial number and last six digits of the VIN that you supply. Record them exactly as your device displays them, don't guess from model year or trim. If any of them is wrong, tell us straight away.
- You need a compatible EK1 device. The EK1 is the flashing tool; the SleepyTuned calibration is the tune. We don't supply the device with the tune unless the product says so.
- You back up your factory files first. Have the correct OEM Original file and, where required, the matching Recovery file for your exact calibration, stored somewhere other than the EK1 SD card.
- You follow the flashing instructions. Keep battery voltage stable, ignition fully on with the engine off, and never interrupt a write. An interrupted or mismatched flash can leave the ECU needing recovery.
- Your vehicle must be mechanically healthy, and you must stay within the boost, fuel and safety guidelines we give you for your setup.
Warranty, emissions and intended use
No aftermarket part automatically cancels every warranty obligation on a vehicle. In the United States a manufacturer can deny a claim where it shows that an aftermarket part or modification caused the defect or damage being claimed, and powertrain tuning creates more exposure for powertrain claims because it directly affects how the powertrain operates. SleepyTuned never promises that a modification is dealer-safe, warranty-safe or undetectable.
Where a product says it is for off-road, track or motorsport use, that is what it is sold for. You are responsible for complying with the vehicle, emissions and road-legality rules where you live and drive.
R&D Membership
The SleepyTuned R&D Membership is for off-road and motorsport use, and its financial assistance benefits are discretionary and conditional on the eligibility requirements, documentation, logging participation and safety guidelines listed on the membership page. Not meeting those requirements can make a membership ineligible.
Tune files and site content
Calibrations, tune files, guides, photos and site content remain the property of SleepyTuned. A tune is licensed for the single vehicle it was built for. Copying, sharing, reselling or redistributing tune files or guides isn't permitted, and doing it ends any support for that tune.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, SleepyTuned is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, things like lost time, towing, rental cars, missed events or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product the claim is about. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms; the version on this page at the time of your order is the one that applies. Questions go to our contact form.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of them or out of an order placed with us is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Texas, and you and we each consent to venue there.
Nothing here removes a right you have under the consumer-protection law of the place you live that cannot be waived by agreement.
