Returns & Refunds
Most of what we sell is either built for your car after you order it or delivered as a tune file, so it cannot go back on a shelf. This page explains where that applies, where it does not, and what to do if something arrives wrong.
Last updated: September 2026
The short version
- Built-to-order hardware (engines, transmissions, ported parts, head stud packages, hybrid turbos) is final sale once production starts.
- Tune files are non-refundable once delivered, because at that point you have the data.
- If something we shipped arrives defective or damaged, tell us within 7 days with photos or video and we will make it right. Parts that ship directly from a vendor are handled by that vendor.
- Unopened, uninstalled parts in resalable condition can usually go back.
- If you are not sure a part fits your car, ask before you order. We would rather answer a question than process a problem.
Custom and built-to-order items
Crate engines, engine builds, built transmissions, ported manifolds, head stud packages and hybrid turbochargers are assembled or machined for your order. As soon as it is confirmed we allocate parts, machine time and a build slot to it.
- All sales are final, no returns, refunds or exchanges.
- Orders cannot be cancelled once production or parts procurement has begun.
- Deposits and payments on engine programs are non-refundable.
- Changing specifications after production starts may add cost and lead time.
This is not a way of avoiding standing behind the work, it reflects that these parts genuinely cannot be restocked or resold as new. Defects are covered below.
Tunes and digital files
ECU and TCU tunes, backend flashes and custom calibrations are digital products. Once the file has been delivered (flashed remotely, loaded in person, or sent to you), you have the data, and it cannot be returned.
- Tune purchases are non-refundable once the file is delivered, regardless of the installation outcome or a later change of plans.
- If the tune will not load, or the car is not behaving as it should, contact us. That is a support issue and we will work through it with you.
- Any revisions included with your tune remain available under the terms of that product.
Unopened, uninstalled parts
Stocked hardware that is still sealed, unused and in resalable condition can usually be returned. Get in touch before sending anything back so we can confirm it and give you an address.
- Tell us within 30 days of delivery.
- The part must be uninstalled, unmarked and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping is yours unless the item was wrong or defective.
- Built-to-order items and delivered tune files are excluded, see above.
Defective or damaged on arrival
If a part that shipped from us is defective or turns up damaged, we replace it. We ask for evidence because it is the fastest route to a replacement, and for freight damage it is what the carrier requires.
Some items ship straight from the manufacturer or distributor rather than from us. Those claims are handled by that vendor under their own policy and timeframes. We never take possession of the part, so we cannot inspect it or authorise a replacement. Your packing slip shows who shipped it, and if you are not sure, ask us and we will tell you.
- For anything shipped by us: submit the claim within 7 days of delivery.
- Include clear photographs or video showing the fault or the damage.
- For freight deliveries, note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before you sign, and photograph the crate before unpacking it.
- Once verified we send a replacement.
- For a vendor-shipped part, contact that vendor first. Tell us as well and we will help you chase it, but the claim is theirs to approve.
Parts from other brands
Some products are made by the manufacturer whose name is on them rather than built by us, and some ship to you directly. Where a manufacturer's own policy governs a part, refunds, warranty and damage claims are handled by them and we cannot issue them directly. The product page and your packing slip make it clear when that applies, and we will still help you open the claim and chase it.
Cancellations
- Before production or parts allocation begins, ask and we will usually cancel without a fee.
- Built-to-order engines, transmissions and machined parts cannot be cancelled once started.
Shipping, freight and restrictions
- Complete engines ship by LTL freight, not parcel. Freight charges are the customer's responsibility unless agreed otherwise in writing.
- Liftgate service, residential delivery, limited-access sites and appointment deliveries can add carrier charges.
- Give us a delivery address that can actually receive a freight shipment.
- Some parts are sold for competition and off-road use only, and emissions-related parts cannot ship everywhere. If checkout says an item cannot ship to your address, that is why.
Fitment and compatibility
It is the customer's responsibility to confirm that a part suits their vehicle and their other modifications before ordering, and that any requested build specification is correct. Ordering the wrong part for your car is not a defect, but asking first costs nothing, and we would far rather help you get it right.
Warranty is not a return policy
Where a warranty is offered it covers defects in workmanship or materials. It does not create a right to return a part or cancel an order, and it does not cover damage from tuning outside our recommendations, excessive boost, overheating, detonation, improper installation or ordinary wear.
Starting a return or a claim
Send us your order number, what the problem is, and photos or video if something is damaged, through our contact form. Please do not ship anything back before we have confirmed it, or it may not be accepted.
